Product Launch PR
Get new health, wellness and beauty products noticed, reviewed and covered, with a launch PR campaign built around a genuine story, not just an announcement.
Launch PR
What product launch PR does for you
Product launch PR gets a new product into the publications, round-ups and reviews your buyers read, at the moment they first hear about it. It turns a launch from something you announce on your own channels into something independent editors and experts are talking about.
A launch is the one moment a product is genuinely new, and journalists notice new. But "we've launched" is rarely a story on its own. The coverage goes to brands that give editors a reason to write: a problem the product solves, an expert who can explain why it matters, a trend it fits into, or something worth testing. Launch PR is the work of finding that reason, packaging it, and putting it in front of the right desks, then keeping momentum going once launch week is over.

How we work
Before, during and after launch
Before launch: find the story
We start with what makes the product newsworthy to an editor, not just to you. That means the problem it solves, the evidence behind it, the expert who can speak for it, and the claims you can safely make. From there we build the press release, media kit and target list, and plan timing around the publications' lead times. Our guide to writing a health press release shows the standard we work to.
Launch window: pitch and place
We pitch tailored angles to health, beauty, lifestyle and trade desks, offer samples to the writers who review, and put your founder or expert forward for commentary. In parallel we answer journalist requests where your product or expertise fits, so coverage isn't relying on a single announcement landing. For beauty and health product launch PR, the expert quote is often what gets the product named.
After launch: keep the momentum
Launch coverage fades fast if nothing follows it. We turn it into an ongoing presence with seasonal hooks, gift guides, expert commentary and reactive placements, so the product keeps appearing in the places people search. That's where launch PR becomes ongoing wellness & beauty PR or media relations.
Proof
Results, shown and linked
We don't yet have a published launch-specific case study, so we won't claim one. These are the closest proof of the methods a launch uses: expert-led commentary, active pitching and reactive placements.
Haircare brand
Active and reactive PR made a dermatologist co-founder a repeatedly quoted expert across 15+ publications, including CNN, Yahoo, Healthline and HuffPost. Read the haircare case study →
Omhale breathing trainer
For a breathing-trainer brand, a registered respiratory therapist was quoted in Men's Journal (syndicated to Yahoo Health), Peloton's blog, SingleCare and World Health Net. First placement within two weeks; seven in about six weeks. Read the Omhale case study →
Physio & rehab retailer
Reactive PR at volume took a brand with no press presence into Newsweek, GQ, BuzzFeed, Women's Health and iNews, and branded searches from zero to 200 a month. Read the physio case study →
Why specialist
Why a specialist for health and beauty launches
Launching a health, wellness or beauty product means the launch story and the claims have to agree. An exciting headline built on a claim you can't support will cost you more than it earns, with editors, customers and regulators. We know what health and beauty editors will and won't run, review claims before anything goes out, and build the angle around what your evidence supports. If you're launching a supplement, our guide to PR for supplement and nutrition brands covers the extra care involved. Launching a device or app? See healthtech PR.
By category
Beauty and health product launch PR
Beauty, wellness and health products launch into some of the busiest inboxes in media. Editors see new products every day, so a launch needs a reason to write: a qualified expert, a real problem solved, or something genuinely new to say. The angle changes by category.
Beauty brand launches
Beauty editors respond to expertise. A dermatologist, trichologist or cosmetic chemist explaining why a formulation works carries more weight than a founder describing it. That's how our haircare client became a repeatedly quoted expert. Wellness & beauty PR →
Supplement & wellness launches
The story has to survive a claims check. We build launches around sourcing, testing and what the evidence supports, so editors can run the piece without caveats. Health claims and PR compliance →
Health device & app launches
Wellness device, medical device or app: the classification decides what you can say. We plan launch messaging around it from day one and put a clinician forward for commentary. Healthtech PR →

Questions
Common questions
How far ahead should we start launch PR?
Ideally two to three months before launch. Many print and long-lead titles plan well ahead, and the time lets us build the story, assets and target list properly. Shorter runways can still work, with more weight on online and reactive coverage.
Can you guarantee launch coverage?
No responsible agency can guarantee editorial coverage, and we won't. We commit to a credible plan, genuine outreach and full transparency, with every placement linked to the live article.
Is a press release enough for a launch?
Rarely on its own. A press release is a useful reference document, but coverage usually comes from tailored pitches, samples, expert commentary and timely hooks. Our guide to getting media coverage for a health or wellness brand explains why.
Do you send products to reviewers?
Yes, where it helps. We identify writers who test and review in your category and arrange samples with them, while being clear that editorial opinion is theirs to give.
What makes a beauty or health product launch newsworthy?
A credible expert, a clear problem the product solves, or genuinely new data. Announcing that a product exists is rarely enough on its own. We build the angle around what the brand can prove and who can speak for it.
Can you run a launch in the UK and US at the same time?
Yes. We place clients in UK, US and Canadian media, and we adapt angles and claims to each market's advertising rules, which differ more than most brands expect.
What does launch PR cost?
Launch campaigns are usually scoped as a project or as part of a retainer, which typically runs $3,000 to $5,000 a month. Reactive expert placements are $300 each, paid only when live. See our health PR pricing guide.
What happens after launch?
We can keep momentum going through ongoing PR: seasonal hooks, gift guides, expert commentary and reactive placements. Many clients move onto a retainer after launch.
What clients say
Trusted by the people behind the coverage
“HealthSpark got us quoted and featured across 15+ beauty and lifestyle titles we never imagined we'd reach, real editorial coverage, not paid placements. The backlinks lifted our search visibility, but it's the credibility of being cited as experts that changed how customers find and trust us.”
“In healthcare, credibility is everything. HealthSpark turned our clinicians into quoted experts in the national health press and built the kind of authority a generalist agency simply can't. It's brought real visibility, and new patients who found us through that coverage.”
